“The 50 Priciest Home Sales” in the Chicagoland area in 2022
As seen in Crain's Chicago Business®, in 2022, the luxury real estate market continued to boom. While the number of homes sold in 9-county Chicago metropolitan area dropped by 19%, sales of homes at $4 million and up rose nearly 33%.
Luxury market owners continued to be concerned about privacy of ownership and asset protection: 21 of the top 50 priciest home sales in the Chicago metropolitan area were bought or sold through a Chicago Title land trust.
